FLY

Dreams are beautiful concept

There are things that in our hearts we accept

But what we fail to realise is life

Life is full of hardships and strife

Walls that look to rise to the skies

But change your perspective and close your eyes

Imagine yourself as a bird flying high and mighty

Make that your goal to soar over all adversity

LEARN

Ah man there I go doing it again

Why, just why

Does this hyper analytical brain of mine

Always react in this way

Like a self-destruct button is pressed

Whenever my parents give me advice

Just keep the beak shut

Absorb their words of wisdom

And take head for they speak

With your best of interest at heart

An apology is definitely overdue

What is the proper form of communication?

Telecommunication is by far the easiest

But words from the heart

Are best expressed in person

I am sorry

I will learn

Where are we…?

I miss you
Day and night
Forever I wait
But people say
Life is short
Live till fullest
I refuse to
Not without you
I am incomplete
What to do?
Last 5 years
Gone so fast
Past is past
Look to future?
Heart doesn’t lie
Truth is transparent
Thoughts are cloudy
Confusion raining
How much time
Maybe this summer
Or the next
Time will tell
But cannot speak

Lonely Strum

D, E, F, G, A, B, C
The sequence continues as he plucks away gently
Look at him
That haircut so trim
Sat there with the utmost pleasure
He could play forever

For him
Forever feeling like a static time stream
In a continuous flow yet in his mind confined within a fixed dream

The world carrying on as usual
Whilst he carries on the usual
Motion after motion his fingers carefully twang against each string
In a melodic fashion he transcends himself into a purified melodious being

Whose essence and purpose is creation of musical phenomena
That sprouts once every millennia
Throwing this world into hysteria

To him
All that remains is the calm
From the soft melody of each Bible Psalm
To the hard hitting passion of the heart
Which threatens to tear us apart
That some relate to as art
Right back to the start
Picture a painting of pure simplicity
One man and his friend in harmony

As he takes the stand
With his pick in his hand
And the music in his heart

The time has come
For the lonely strum

UNKNOWN (intro)

They say the human race is the most dominant being on this whole planet
With the manner in which they have conquered the land, the sea and the sky
Tearing down and destroying whatever comes in its way
With no remorse for how their actions affect their surroundings

But I say there is a more terrifying thing out there,
 More scary than fear itself
It weakens the hearts of those who are proud of their physical outlook
Their countless hours of building those spectacular biological external muscles that are perfect to the human eye
Their power based egotistical exterior becomes worthless when dealing with this level of fear

That cripples even the most intellectual minds and turns them into mindless zombies
Philosophers over the years have strained every minuscule molecular cell in their over developed brains to uncover the mystery behind this fear

I bet you are all eager for me to verbally articulate the name given to this inanimate object,
As the sound of its title trickles out from my lips,
And it hits your inner ears causing vibrations off your ear drums
The moment your mind registers these 6 syllables
An electric shock sensation pierces through the natural conductor that is your physical body
Plunged into despair and confusion
Your whole surrounding spirals into darkness

What is out there?
You don’t know
There’s no-one around you to call for help
Alone, Frightened,
All that is left is….

The FEAR of the UNKNOWN

Unspoken words

Hello! Hello!
My words fall on deaf ears
Do my words qualify not enough to gain your acknowledgement?
Or is it I who does not understand the words of my body?
I feel trapped in this flesh cocoon
The freedom of my first breath is a distant pleasure
That was stripped away from me by the devil’s terror

Immense pain struck through me
I knew something was afoot
The fear of the unknown worsening the feeling
My soul sinking into a dark cold world
As though my brain was waving the dishonourable white flag unashamed
I had given up all hope

Suddenly a surge of life flowed through me
As though resurrecting this lifeless carcass
The flame reignited within me
With my veins bursting with energy
My self-abandoned life force was being dragged from the fiery clutches of the evil one into the warm embrace of our Heavenly Father
Left eye followed right eyes awakening and what I saw saturated my eye sockets to the point of flooding
The sight of a giant woman and a man and a little girl in the embrace of her older boy
All speaking with in a foreign dialect with power and great vigour

My eyes fixated on the woman whose hands were larger as my entire face
Her smile that could pause the earth in orbit in awe
And more soothing than the golden-rouge sunset horizon ashore
I felt her life energy seeping gently into my soul
Mother…there was no doubt
For her loved shielded my entire being
I was floating, experiencing the anti-gravitational life of the creatures of the air
I was at peace and the pain scurried away into the darkness

I had found my anchor, my reason to carry on living and fight for another day
This is my FAMILY I said to myself
Even though confined in this weakened body my story is far from over
Their desire, passion, love and faith in God brought me back from a lonely world
One where many have never returned

With them and the power of God I know I can succeed and LIVE
You look and what do you see?
Pain, sadness?
No, look deeper….
There’s fire in my eyes and there’s hope, peace and happiness
For the Lord has blessed me with a wonderful family
AMEN!
